I qualified as a Solicitor in 1988 and became the family law partner at the North Kent firm of Marsons in 1995. In 2001, with Georgina Earle-Hutton, I acquired the domestic practice of Marsons at Bexleyheath to create a new partnership (Landes Solicitors, subsequently rebranded as Landes Hutton LLP).
Throughout my career, I have specialised in all aspects of family and children law and have undertaken family mediation since 1999. I am a long standing member of the Law Society’s specialist panels: The Family Law Panel and the Children Law Panel. I assist clients with their family disputes whether divorce, disputes in relations to children, cohabitation disputes or injunctive relief. I approach each case constructively and with sensitivity, always ensuring my clients receive the best possible, comprehensive and up to date advice and representation.
As a specialist in Children Law, I also represent parents, grandparents, children and other family members in public law care cases and can provide specialist advice in relation to any private children dispute (e.g. child arrangements orders covering residence and contact, adoption etc.). I have been a long time member of Resolution (formerly the SFLA) and act for clients in accordance with the terms of their Code of Practice. I was Chair for many years of the Bexley Community Legal Service Partnership.
As a trained and experienced family mediator, I offer practical help and assistance to separating couples whether the issues are financial and/or to do with the children. I have also been a Consultant Mediator to the South East London Family Mediation Bureau in Bromley for many years.
Throughout my career, I have successfully combined my professional role with being a wife and mother having two older children.
In what little spare time I have, I sit on a Breast Cancer charitable committee.
