After qualifying as a solicitor in 2006 I chose to specialise in family law, my main areas of work are:
I became a Member of the Law Society’s Children panel in 2011 and a member of the Law Society’s Advanced Family Panel in 2013 specialising in Domestic violence and Child Contact matters.
Passionate about helping my clients, I pride myself in dealing with their cases in a compassionate way and always being approachable, friendly and professional in every aspect of my work.
I appreciate the strain and heartache care proceedings can bring to a family and strive to represent my clients in the most effective way possible, I undertake my own advocacy work at all stages of the case ensuring that clients are provided with continuity of representation and have representation by the person who knows their case best.
I have represented many clients who have had their children returned to them during care proceedings and represented a client in the High Court in the area of International Child Abduction with the result that the child was located and contact re-established
My wealth of experience in domestic violence throughout my career has resulted in having established links with local Citizens Advice Bureaus, Domestic Violence services and the police, and I am often called upon to give talks to their organisations. I have developed a reputation in this area and was recently invited to participate in a radio discussion focusing on what assistance and interventions are available to client’s suffering domestic abuse.
I have represented numerous clients in emergency applications to court many of which are made within 24 hours of the initial appointment.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and going to the gym.
