I Joined McMillan Williams in 2014 and am part of the McMillan Williams contentious Auditing & Professional Standards Unit.
I have specialised in Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury claims for more than 30 years. I have also worked with one law firm based in Hertfordshire heading up its limited Personal Injury practice and developing its Clinical Negligence practice from scratch, reaching the point where it was the only law firm based exclusively in Hertfordshire awarded a Quality Mark by the Legal Services Commission in the Specialist Category of Clinical Negligence. The development of both departments relied significantly on achieving and maintaining a personal and local reputation for conducting such claims.
I have been successful at gaining and maintaining the trust of clients which results in a good relationship and rapport with them. I am considered to have an excellent grasp of the difficult medical and legal issues involved in Clinical Negligence claims and to have a thoughtful, balanced and pragmatic approach.
My approach has resulted in many high-value and complex claims reaching a successful conclusion.
I volunteer on a regular basis to assist on the Helpline of AvMA, the UK charity for patient safety and justice. I Also regular a volunteer with the Woodland Trust involved in a woodland creation project developing in Hertfordshire what will be the largest new native forest in England.
