I joined McMillan Williams in 2014 and am a member of MW Solicitors team of Auditors focusing on Health and Injury Claims.
A Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury claim specialist for over 30 years, I was head of the limited Personal Injury team for a Hertfordshire based law firm where I was responsible for developing its Clinical Negligence practice from scratch. During my tenure I led the team to become the only law firm based exclusively in Hertfordshire awarded a Quality Mark by the Legal Services Commission in the Specialist Category of Clinical Negligence.
The development of both departments relied significantly on achieving and maintaining a personal and local reputation for conducting such claims.
I have been successful at gaining and maintaining the trust of clients which results in a good relationship and rapport with them. I am considered to have an excellent grasp of the difficult medical and legal issues involved in Clinical Negligence claims and to have a thoughtful, balanced and pragmatic approach.
My approach has resulted in many high-value and complex claims reaching a successful conclusion.
I have in the past volunteered on a regular basis to assist on the Helpline of AvMA, the UK charity for patient safety and justice.
I am currently a volunteer with the Woodland Trust involved in a woodland creation project developing in Hertfordshire what will be the largest new native forest in England.
