I initially applied to McMillan Williams when I became aware of the firm's rapid growth as a result of funding from the Business Growth Fund. Having secured substantial investment in early 2015, the firm has expanded its locations in a bid to become the largest provider of high street legal services throughout the south of England and I hope to be part of the ambitious growth and inevitable success of this firm. Furthermore, McMillan Williams prides itself on the training and development of its staff. It provides an outstanding training program and allows young lawyers to develop key skills, essential for progression within the firm and beyond.
At McMillan Williams I will be joining the Property department where I seek to build upon the legal and professional skills developed whilst previously working within legal services at my local authority. I also aim to put into practice the skills and knowledge I developed whilst studying the LPC.
My long term ambitions are to develop and progress within the firm as a trainee and as a solicitor, and work towards becoming a partner.
I look forward to supporting my colleagues and expanding upon my advocacy skills through the firm's novel internal Advocacy Competition.
