University of Law - LPC MSc Distinction
McMillian Williams’ has a strong national presence, which is evident from its expanding network of offices. Expansion is indicative of a firm that is able to acclimatise well within a competitive legal market, thus making it less vulnerable during economic uncertainty. Therefore, this attracts to me to a long-term career with the firm.
Additionally, the small size of the office creates an ideal environment for my success through bespoke training that is unique to my development. I will also have the opportunity to work on high value and complex transactions early on. This working environment will hone my skills and facilitate my professional and personal growth.
I will be working within the Commercial Property department. My interest in this area of law stems partially from my academic background but also from keen observation of how fast paced changes to the legislation impacts the property market, not to mention the impending changes required to accommodate Brexit. I find this enthusing, as it demands the use lateral thinking in a fast paced environment.
During the course of my career I have also developed excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate easily with both colleagues and clients. I have also demonstrated my ability to build long lasting relationships and reach effective and tailored solutions for my clients. I look forward to developing these skills and qualifying as a solicitor with the firm.
