I pride myself in excellent client care, providing a sensitive client focused approach. It is important to me to find out what my clients are seeking from the outset and then to work together with them to see how that can be best achieved. I, therefore, spend quality time with my clients to obtain their detailed instructions and keep them fully informed throughout their case. I find that creating long-term relationships with my clients is extremely beneficial to fostering professional working relationships with trust and understanding. This also allows my clients to be able to call on me when needed, and invariably sooner rather than later.
Being a Law Society Mental Health Accreditation Panel Member I am a specialist in my field, Mental Health and Capacity Law, and have extensive experience of representing clients detained under the Mental Health Act, under both civil and forensic sections, at Mental Health Tribunal Hearings, Hospital Managers Hearings and Care Programme Approach (CPA) meetings. I also have experience of representing Nearest Relatives across the country. I particularly enjoy all areas of advocacy, securing for my clients the best outcome possible, and find nothing more gratifying and rewarding than the heartfelt appreciation I receive from my clients when I have helped them to achieve their desired outcomes.
I enjoy spending time with family, swimming and reading.
