I applied to McMillan Williams because of its excellent reputation in the legal sector. It’s really exciting to work for a firm that is expanding nationally and, yet, is still able to maintain a successful and reliable local presence. The main factor for my application to McMillan Williams was the importance placed on client care as this is vital to the success of a law firm – it is great to work for a law firm that places care to tailor legal services to each and every individual client. The firm also offers a diverse range of practice areas, both contentious and non contentious; I’m looking forward to training and experiencing new areas of law.
I work in the London Bridge Office, in the Commercial Property department. It can be quite daunting, starting a new career straight out of the LPC, but I’ve been very lucky to have a supportive office who have been so helpful during the transition from student to paralegal. There is a great deal of importance placed on working well as a team and working closely together has allowed me to learn a great deal in a short period of time. McMillan Williams are recognised for their outstanding work in Conveyancing and it is an invaluable opportunity to learn from and work for such a reputable firm. From the start, I have been given responsibility to work with clients and experience different areas of Property Law; I’m excited to learn even more.
McMillan Williams offers the opportunity to take part in Advocacy competitions and pro bono projects. These are great opportunities to develop different skills required as a solicitor.
