The reason I applied to McMillan Williams was due to its strong and growing reputation as a national law firm, delivering a high quality and personal service to its clients. The firm takes a forward-moving approach and owes its success to its progressive nature. Further, I was attracted to the unique approach to training offered at McMillan Williams and excellent career opportunities for paralegals, trainees and solicitors alike to grow with the firm.
As a paralegal in the residential property department, I am involved in a wide variety of tasks relating to property transactions. Having taken Advanced Property as an elective on the LPC and having previous in-house property paralegal experience, I look forward to expanding my knowledge in this area and working closely with clients. I am confident I will receive a good level of responsibility and support at McMillan Williams and look forward to tackling challenges and enhancing my personal career development.
There is a clear family ethos at McMillan Williams, which makes joining the team a lot more welcoming. I admire McMillan Williams’ “one firm” ethos and look forward to getting to know the team a lot more in the near future and partaking in the various social events held throughout the year.
I look forward to getting involved in the unique annual Advocacy Competition held by McMillan Williams. During my LPC, I was involved in the Debate Team and hope to enhance my current skill set during this experience. It is also an excellent way to meet other McMillan Williams paralegals, trainees and newly qualified solicitors in a friendly environment.
