Paralegals

We would like to hear from ambitious LPC graduates (or soon to be LPC graduates) who are looking to begin their legal careers and work towards qualification. We believe our unique approach to recruiting talented solicitors of the future is second to none.  We reward hard work and talent from within the firm and so we recruit our trainee solicitors by employing them first as paralegals for a 12 to 15 month period.  Whilst training contracts are not guaranteed, our approach to recruiting and retaining talent at MW works, and this is reflected in our extremely high success rate of transferring paralegals onto a training contract.

As a paralegal, you will assist fee earners with the profitable management of their caseload whilst practicing the highest codes of professional conduct and customer service.

Training Contracts

The training at MW follows the typical two year fixed term contract format, with trainees usually sitting in four different departments throughout the training contract.  Trainees rotate seats every six months covering at least three areas of law and at least one contentious seat.  Our trainees are expected to undertake seats across the MW network of offices providing a broad and varied training experience.

At MW, we try wherever possible, to accommodate the preferences of each trainee when determining which seats are to be covered.  Before each seat rotation, you will meet with the Graduate Recruitment and Development Manager to discuss your future aspirations and seat choices that best meets your needs.

Our trainees are given responsibility from the outset with full support from their supervisor. However, the support doesn’t end there as our dedicated Graduate Recruitment and Development Manager will be with you every step of your journey to qualification.

We take great pride in the training and career prospects offered at MW.  Our objective is to identify exceptional candidates, train them "The MW Way" and retain them as the next generation of lawyers.
