I joined MW in September 2016 after four years in a commercial firm in Mayfair, London. 

I have extensive and wide-ranging experience of non-contentious commercial property work acting for a variety of private sector clients.  I act for private individuals and businesses, developers and lenders and deal with all asset types, including industrial estates, office, retail and mixed-use schemes. 

My work has an emphasis on acquisitions, sales and leasing of commercial premises including complex agreements for lease, overage and advising both landlord and tenant on lease assignments, transfers, renewals and surrenders.  I have a particular specialism in drafting and negotiating asset sale and purchase agreements and business sales as a whole. 

I have advised investors and developers on the acquisitions of sites, often with the assistance of finance, together with subsequent disposal of whole or part.  I am highly experienced in dealing with high-value acquisitions, disposals and re-finances and has notably acted for hoteliers.  I act for buyers and sellers in strategic simultaneous transactions for UK clients including complex leaseback transactions and conditional contracts. 

As part of the corporate department I also have experience in private acquisitions; share sales and purchases as well as advising and negotiating extensive warranties and ancillary documentation.  I have experience in buy back agreements, shareholders’ agreements and commercial contracts. 

I have also acted for lenders including Metro Bank plc.and I also advise lenders on the effect of their security under borrower share acquisitions. 

Astute and tenacious in my approach, I set myself apart from other commercial lawyers because I recognise that every deal and every client are different.   My unflappable, client-focused approach combined with my wealth of knowledge enables me to find practical commercial solutions for my clients.

Recent Successes

  • Acting for a developer in the purchase of a mixed use building in Shoreditch comprising residential, retail and office premises with a conditional exchange subject to planning in excess of £5.6m.
  • Sale of a student accommodation property portfolio consisting of 16 commercial properties throughout the UK, in excess of £5.5m.
  • Sale of the entire issued share capital of four KFC franchises for £6m
  • £7.5m staged purchase of the shares in a company whose underlying assets were two public houses in central London
  • Asset sale of a care home business with a simultaneous sale of two commercial properties in excess of £1.8m
  • Advising, drafting and negotiating a Section 106 Agreement on behalf of an owner-occupier.
  • Acting for Seller in the sale of a hotel in London with complex overage provisions, rights of light and CIL contribution provisions.
