Regional High Street Law firm, MW Solicitors (MW), has qualified a record twenty three new Solicitors in September 2019, and thirty one in the last twelve months. This makes MW one of the largest providers of Training Contracts in England.
Almost ten thousand Solicitors’ Firms nationwide offer only six thousand traineeships annually, less than one each on average.
Well over half of these Newly Qualified Solicitors have accepted full-time, permanent roles with MW in fields from Clinical Negligence to Family Law, with a significant number joining the Firm’s market leading Residential Property business.
Chief Executive Officer
Chief Executive, Dominic Harrison said,
“We are thrilled that the significant investment we have made in our people and our communities for many years is now yet again bearing fruit, for us, for the clients we serve, and of course for the Trainees themselves who have worked tirelessly and diligently during their training contracts in pursuit of this crowning career moment.”
MW operates a training program of approximately one hundred people at any one time, and offers training not only for Solicitors but also for alternative legal qualifications such as CILEx and CLC.
Head Trainee Sonia Jain, who joined MW in 2016 as a Paralegal and will qualify as a Solicitor this year, said,
“Joining MW has meant the opportunity to train in the many different legal disciplines we practice, and in different offices around the South of England. This is not something other Firms could offer me. I am thrilled to have accepted a role as a Qualified Solicitor in the Civil Litigation team in our Fulham Office.”
The firm recruits candidates in all positions all year round and also awarded seventeen new training contracts this week. MW has grown considerably since attracting private equity funding in 2015 and is now one of the largest providers of Legal Aid and Conveyancing services in the country.
