  • Michelle Kingshott and the team at Mcmillian Williams were great throughout the whole process. They provided a competitive quote which ended up being less that than the initial figure which really helped. Very reasonable to speak with. I would highly recommend them when buying you next home as everything was handled smoothly and professionally. Thanks for your support with getting us our first home.

  • Would definitely recommend MWSL if you’re moving house. Our solicitor James worked efficiently and very thoroughly so ensure a painless purchase! He explained every stage of the process to us so we understood every step which was valuable to us as first time buyers. From offer to completion in 4 and a half weeks - we’re thrilled! Thank you.

  • Awful company. Our purchase went abortive and McMillan Charged extra fees which were never mentioned in the terms and conditions. McMillan never responded to our emails and instead hired a debt collector firm who harrases us several times a week to pay an invoice which we have queried with McMillan. We emailed McMillan several times over a period of 6 months as we are still querying the amount they say is due and they continue to ignore all our correspondence. This is not a firm we would recommend to anyone. My colleague is 78 years old and the stress McMillan have put on my colleague is completely unnecessary.

  • I have instructed James Smallman for several commercial matters recently. He consistently provides straightforward advice and takes time to fully understand my objectives. He is adept at dealing with complex property transactions and methodical with due diligence.

  • This is the first time I've used McMillan Williams, but not the first time I've used their excellent commercial property solicitor, Mr James Smallman. This latest matter concluded smoothly and with very little fuss. In my experience, no matter how complex the matter, Mr Smallman always finds a resolution. It was only the extent of MW's seemingly obstructive and paranoid bureaucracy which prevented me from awarding 5 stars (which is probably a little unfair as they're only reacting to the pathetic litigious world in which we live!). That aside, a professional and modern firm - one I will continue to use.
