I joined McMillan Williams as a paralegal in January 2014 and qualified as a solicitor into the Clinical Negligence team in August 2016.
Prior to joining the firm, I worked for a year as a paralegal for the defence organisation the MDDUS working on Inquests, regulatory matters, clinical negligence claims and providing general healthcare advice. I have also worked for another top tier Claimant firm for 18 months assisting on a number of high value and complex clinical negligence claims, including cerebral palsy claims.
I have experience of assisting with a wide range of clinical negligence claims involving delays in diagnosis/treatment, neurosurgery, gynaecology/obstetrics, amputations, infections, orthopaedics and spinal injuries.
Whilst a paralegal at McMillan Williams, I was winner of the firm’s annual advocacy competition which had 40 participants over three rounds and the final involved appearing at the RCJ before a retired High Court Judge and conducting advocacy for a full mock criminal trial.
