I chose McMillan Williams because of it's excellent reputation as an extremely client-orientated firm; having previously worked in an estate agents who used McMillan Williams as it's primary agents for conveyancing, and later, being lucky enough to be offered a week's work experience with the company, I knew first-hand how conscientious and efficient the company was, and witnessed how effectively they prioritised the client's needs.

Previously I completed a weeks work experience at McMillan Williams in the New Build Conveyancing department. I loved working for the team and look forward to re-joining them to work in this exciting branch of law.

During my work experience, I felt fully supported by not only my team leader, Guy Fernback but also by the rest of the extremely friendly team. The MW Advocacy competition is a great opportunity for those who are new (or fairly new) to the legal world to hone their skills in a competitive and useful way.

Career Achievements

  • Since the age of 16 I have always been employed, either part-time or full-time. Some of my earlier part-time jobs include Sales Assistant at Boots the Chemist and other smaller retailers, Waitress and Barmaid for functions at the Warren Metropolitan Police Social Club and Booking Clerk at Pixifoto photography studios.
  • I completed my Law degree at Oxford Brookes University achieving a 2:1.
  • I then worked for 9 months at MyLondonHome, a Westminster-based estate agents.
  • Whilst at MyLondonHome, as well as my day-to-day duties, I organised various charity events, raising an excess of £10,000. These included a raffle, and a quiz, culminating in a large team completing Centre Point’s SleepOut.
  • I began my LPC in January 2014 at BPP Holborn.
  • During my LPC, I retained a part-time job at Cockburns Estate Agents in Mottingham.
