Solicitor - Civil Litigation
Imran Khan and Partners
I am a Solicitor in the Actions Against the Police / Inquest Department. I specialise in holding public authorities to account when they act unlawfully, abuse their powers or breach their duty of care.
I am able to assist with police complaints, claims against the police for example, arising from false imprisonment and assault, claims against the Ministry of Justice for negligence in prison, and claims for discrimination and breaches of the Human Rights Act.
I also represent bereaved families in inquest proceedings and investigations into a death by organisations such as the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) and the Prison and Probation Ombudsman (PPO). I am compassionate towards my clients and make every effort to ensure they are able to effectively participate in proceedings, whilst rigorously scrutinising the actions of public authorities. Following the conclusion of an inquest, I am able to advise on bring a claim against public authorities.
In addition I have experience of conducting judicial reviews, making me well equipped to challenge any decisions that arise in connection to civil liberties and during inquest proceedings.
