Solicitor - Criminal Defence
Norman H Barnett
I am an experienced criminal defence lawyer with an emphasis on serious and complex crime.
I have worked on a wide range of cases including homicide, conspiracy to rob, conspiracy to steal, drug trafficking, firearms, dishonesty and sexual offences.
My case work often involves an international element which combines with my work in extradition. I regularly represent those seeking to contest their extradition from the UK and have had success in cases involving extradition requests from the European Union and other wider jurisdictions.
I have developed my practice to include expertise in Confiscation Proceedings under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 and have had considerable success in this field.
I hold Higher Rights of Audience and represent clients in person at all levels of criminal and extradition cases from the Police station through the Magistrates Court and the Crown Court.
"Thomas was very professional and answered any questions I had, he was able to explain as to what the charges meant in terms that were easy to understand and did not use legalese" - LD (Nov 2019)
