I am currently a Trainee Solicitor in the Firm, I commenced my training in the New Build Department and have subsequently moved to Personal Injury.

Whilst in the New Build Department I dealt with all of the administrational duties that arose as part of a general conveyancing transaction from reservation through to completion.  I also attended to clients, dealing with their various enquiries and correspond with developers, solicitors and agents. In addition, I assisted with Land Registry formalities and requisitions, post completion requirements, exchange paperwork, contracts, leases and transfer reports.

Now working in Personal Injury I deal with all the matters that arise in litigation. Typical tasks include investigating claims; screening potential clients and evaluating the merits of their case; gathering evidence; formulating legal theories; researching case law; drafting pleadings, and applications; interviewing and deposing witnesses; preparing for trial; and counselling clients. The most rewarding aspect of personal injury practice is helping injured victims and their families seek justice through the legal system.

I thoroughly enjoy attending networking and promotional events at local and regional universities and law fairs.

MW is a progressive Company, full of exciting opportunities. It has an eagerness to inspire its Trainee Solicitors, Paralegals and young people to excel in all areas of practice, making it an incredibly exciting environment to work in and I am proud to be part of its growth programme.

A personal achievement during my time at a MW so far has been taking part in MW Advocacy Competition. In September 2017 I was a finalist in this and had the privilege of representing the Crown in a mock murder trial at the Royal Courts of Justice.
